DVDs in this section are for use in drives that support the DVD+R ("plus R") format.
Similar to the "minus R" format, these DVDs can only be written to once, have a single recording layer and store a maximum of 4.7GB per disc. Our DVD+Rs come in both printable and non printable (pen-writable/branded surface) versions. (Printable or non-printable surfaces make no difference to the business of actually recording data to the disc).
Plus format DVDs tend to be more popular with standalone personal DVD recorders installed under TVs, although many people do use them in their computer.
16x DVD+Rs are the fastest available and almost all new DVD writers will support 16x DVD+R writing; a full 4.7GB disc will take around 9 minutes to record.
