Customer Accounts System
In late March 2015, the old Disk Depot site was replaced with an entirely new system. The good news is that this includes significantly improved customer account handling.
First-Time Customers and Non-Account Holders
If you're a first-time customer, or if you've ordered from us before but didn't create an account- don't worry! You'll be given the choice of whether you want to create an account when you reach the checkout (in which case your details will be available for you the next time you order). If you don't want to do this, you can still check out as a "guest". The choice is entirely yours!
Details for Existing Account Holders
If you first created your account on the new system (from 23 March 2015 onwards) and you're having trouble logging in, please email us via the contact page for support.
If you had a customer account on our old system (pre March 2015), you should still be able to login with your existing details. However, if you're having trouble logging in, please read on.
Shortly after the new site launched, we noticed some people trying (and failing) to log in to accounts that weren't registered on the system.
Please note that hardly any of our customers had accounts on the old system, as it didn't support general customer accounts at all. In almost all cases, the address and contact details needed to fulfil the order were entered each time- there was never an account as such. (Similarly, although some of you are signed up to our mailing list, this isn't the same thing as a customer account). Therefore, if you're unable to log in with your details from the old (pre-March 2015) system, it's probably because the "account" never existed in the first place.
The good news is that, with the new system, everyone can now have an account if they want one; see the details for non-account holders above.
(If you're one of the limited number of people who arranged with our staff for an account to be set up on the old system and you still can't log in with your existing details, please email us via the contact page).
Apologies for any confusion, and we hope you enjoy the new, improved site!
