Compatibility

Plug-and-play, use with all the following operating systems:-
* Microsoft/MS Windows 10, Windows 8.1, Windows 8, Windows 7, Windows Vista, Windows XP, Windows 2000, Windows ME. (Also compatible with Windows 98SE / 98 Second Edition, but requires downloadable drivers to be installed first).
* Linux (most standard x86 (32 or 64-bit) distributions with kernel 2.4 or newer, including Ubuntu, Linux Mint and Debian)
* Apple Mac OS X (as well as the older Mac OS 9)

Performance Notes

• This is a USB 2.0 device and will operate at up to 480 Mbit/s when used in a USB 2.0 (or better) socket. (Most computers built since 2003 or so include this, so it's generally not a problem these days).
• Although this drive will work in computers using the older USB 1.1, its performance will be restricted to 12 MBit/s by the speed of the socket itself.
• If you have a newer computer with USB 3.0 sockets (blue-coloured), you can enjoy even faster performance by choosing one of our USB 3.0 pen drives instead. Remember that USB 3.0 pen drives are still compatible with older USB sockets too.
