Technological progress in the computer world is pretty amazing, but perhaps we’re not all as amazed as we should be?
Part of the problem is that we can’t “see” the changes- we don’t see how many more transistors are in a modern processor (and how much smaller they are) than there are in ones made ten or twenty years ago. And talking about megabytes, gigabytes and terabytes, we forget that each one is a thousand time larger than what went before.
