Refurbished Goods - What’s the Deal?

You may have noticed that we sometimes get stock of refurbished goods (many of which are described as “Grade A”).

Many of these products are in fact simply products that were returned shortly after purchase. Even in cases where a product was hardly touched before it developed a minor and easily-fixed fault, the goods can’t be resold as new. Regardless, the refurbs are brought in and always tidied up (to “as new” condition, if described as such). Such goods typically come with a three month to one year warranty (this is normally indicated on the product description page itself). They won’t always include the original packaging, and some people may be put off by the fact that they aren’t actually new (even though in most cases the “Grade A” refurbs may as well be!).

Not all refurbs are described as “Grade A” or “As New”. In these cases, there may be some minor cosmetic imperfections (e.g. light scratches), but will otherwise meet high standards and the unit itself should function as if it were new.

If you think the trade-off of these minor issues against some major savings on the “new” price is worth it (and we certainly do!), you can pick up some real bargains on refurbs. Just don’t hang about too long, as stocks of refurb products are often limited, and we can’t always guarantee being able to get them in again in the future!
