Quick Questions: How to Reset Ink Levels on the R285 Continuous Ink System?

Author: Software Guy @ 3:17 pm

Depending on the model of the CISS system there are a few ways to reset them.

  • Turning the printer on and off.
  • Going through the ink change sequence of the printer by using either the status monitor or buttons on the printer.
  • Pressing the white button on top of the CISS cartridges. (Does not work on all CISS systems).
  • If none of the above work then remove the CISS cartridges from the printer and switch the printer off at the plug for an hour. When you refit the cartridges, the ink levels should have reset.

It is always best to reset the counter before the level runs out, i.e. before it gets the red X to show it is empty.
