DVD-RAM is designed for data intensive, high performance apps. DVD-RAM is more like a hard drive than other types of rewritable DVD, although it isn't as compatible with "normal" DVD players. Please ensure that your drive(s) can read and (where necessary) write the DVD-RAM format.
DVD-RAM is better than DVD+RW and DVD-RW for archival purposes.
